Discussion About the Holocaust

May 10, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Holocaust was one of the greatest atrocities ever committed by the human species. Josh White will discuss the causes, how it unfolded, what it tells us about humanity, and the lessons it has to teach us.

The sheer scale of loss, murder, and destruction makes it difficult for us to even comprehend, let alone understand. The topic of the Holocaust is an uncomfortable one as it forces us to confront our very nature, including our willingness to engage in atrocities or stand by while they occur. However, it is critical we study the Holocaust, for it offers vital insight into human nature, both the good and the bad, and serves as a warning on the dangers of demagogues, racism, and bigotry. Join us as we discuss the Holocaust.

Josh White received his bachelors in History and Secondary Education from Keene State College where he was a member of the Genocide Awareness Organization, and specialized in Military History and European History. He attended Southern Connecticut State where he received a Master’s in Special Education. Josh currently teaches High School History in Rutland.
