Begun in 2010, the program is a collaborative effort with our community library, Lothrop Elementary School, and the Vermont State Police. Each month, a State Trooper, Stephanie Sherman, the Lothrop Librarian, and Maclure Librarian visit the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes.  The State Trooper reads a book to the class. The children are each given a hardcover copy of the book to keep, which they take home and read with their family. The program is sponsored by OMYA.
