Toddler Story Time
Every Wednesday & Thursday at 10:00 a.m. The Maclure Library offers two preschool story hours, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. Parents and care givers are encouraged to bring children from birth to five years old. This is a great chance for children to socialize and parents / care givers to make new friends, share concerns, joys, ideas, and experiences and to learn from other parents.
Wednesday Story Hour – Cornelia Crocker reads a book, sings songs with the children, has a story related project and then snack. This is a smaller, more intimate group and lasts about one hour.
Thursday Story Hour – The Rutland County Parent Child Center hosts a playgroup at the library. Not only are there stories, crafts and snack, but children have open playtime, dance, and sing songs.
Toddler story time provides an opportunity for you and your child to explore the library and enjoy books together. Sharing books with your child encourages healthy language development, helps you bond with your child, and stimulates their rapidly growing minds. It also helps to build a strong foundation for later learning. Infants welcome.
